<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor achieving the coexistence of airtightness and heat resistance, and capable of sufficiently exhibiting respective functions. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 has a gas sensor element 10, an insulator 11, a housing 12, an atmospheric side cover 13 and an element cover 14. A glass sealing material 151 composed of a crystallized component and an amorphous component other than the crystallized component is arranged between the gas sensor element 10 and the insulator 11 at the base end side of an element inserting hole 110. The amorphous component is contained in an amount of 15 mol% or larger with respect to the whole of the glass sealing material 151 and contains B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>in an amount of 6.2-6.8 mol% with respect to the whole of the glass sealing material 151. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
