Disclosed is a composition comprising aminoacyl tRNA synthetase (RS) having a sequence selected from: i) a sequence encoded by the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 4; ii) the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5 or SEQ ID NO: 17; or iii) the sequence of a conservative variant of SEQ ID NO: 5 or SEQ ID NO: 17 wherein said conservative variant is capable of incorporating pAF at about the same efficiencyas an RS comprising the sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5 or SEQ ID NO: 17.
