PURPOSE: A light guide for a backlight unit and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize thickness of a back light unit while using LED(Light Emitting Diode) having a thickness greater than a thickness of a light guide as a light source by projecting a light incidence unit with a thickness corresponding to an LED on a UV(Ultra Violet) curing resin on an upper face of a film. CONSTITUTION: An UV resin liquid forming a patterned dot [dot](21) is spread over a surface of a film(10) to form a pattern resin layer(20). A forming resin layer(30) is formed by spreading the UV curing resin on the other surface of the film.
