PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a program and a recording medium for efficiently managing the number of appearance of a prescribed status. SOLUTION: A communication information storage unit 11 stores communication results related with communication performed on a network. A counter 13 counts the number of appearance of a prescribed status related with communication with an IP address having each address value as the origin of transmission or the destination of transmission for each address value of each block configuring an IP address. An entropy calculation unit 14 calculates an entropy value showing the level of the distribution of the number of appearance corresponding to each address value for every block based on the number of appearance. An address selection unit 15 selects a block based on the entropy value of each block, and selects an address value based on the number of appearance corresponding to each address value of the selected block.
