<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing orchidaceous plants without using plant hormone and to provide a fluorescent substance for proliferating PLB which can promote proliferation of PLB. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing orchidaceous plants consists of proliferating PLB of the orchidaceous plants by irradiating the PLB with wavelength conversion light by the fluorescent substance which includes polycyclic phenazine compounds or polycyclic oxazole compounds as pigment, leading roots or the like from PLB and further growing them as shoots.
