<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method suitable for manufacturing a plastic lens with a marking applied in an optimum manner, to provide a die and a history control method, and to provide a plastic lens facilitating the history control. <P>SOLUTION: A lens 1 is equipped with a flange section 2 on the periphery of its lens surface. A flange surface 21 of the flange section 2 is protruded from the lens surface. Further, a marking 3 is formed, for example, to identify a fabrication fixture, on the flange surface 21.
