PURPOSE: An OPC information managing method for an optical disc drive and an optical disc is provided to prevent the delay of data recording by not performing an OPC operation each time. CONSTITUTION: An OPC information managing method for an optical disc drive and an optical disc comprises the following steps. When a data recording request is received, an OPC operation is performed and then the OPC information is temporarily saved(S12). When a data recording operation is performed and then a session is assigned to the optical disc, the OPC information temporarily saved is recorded in a specific area on the optical disc(S16). When a further data recording request is received, the further data recording operation is performed with reference to the OPC information recorded in the specific area(S21).
