The synchronization device comprises an idle gear which is held in a rotating manner or added in a torque-proof manner relative to a shaft. A sliding sleeve is provided for speed alignment and torque transmission between the idle gear and the shaft which is supported in a torque-proof manner relative to a sleeve carrier (1). A synchronization ring (2) is provided with a driver element (4) extending in an axial direction (a) in a recess (6) in the sleeve carrier.
