PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and small-scale ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of preventing saturation of echo signal in a receiving delay circuit and securing an optimal dynamic range. SOLUTION: Echo signal for each ultrasonic transducer is distributed to a delay circuit 221a-221h (or a buffer amplifier 220a-220h) according to a distribution width Tr of a receiving delay time Td(i) of each ultrasonic transducer. In the distribution, for example, when Tr<T0, the echo signal for each ultrasonic transducer is allocated to either of 8 receiving delay circuits according to an integral value determined by INT[RANK(Td(i))/8]. Alternatively, when Tr≥T0, it is allocated to either of the 8 receiving delay circuits according to an integral value determined by MOD[RANK(8×Td(i))/T0, 8]. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
