PURPOSE: A navigation system for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to rapidly and accurately set a desired bypass by drawing a specific road on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A navigating method for a vehicle is as follows. Road guide information is displayed(S11). It is determined whether a line is drawn along a specific road on the road guide information(S14). A road matching with the drawn line is set as a bypass(S15). The road guide information is displayed through the set bypass.
