<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: asphalt adheres on a bottom section of a conventional plate rammer because the bottom section is heated while rolling compaction is being executed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Cooling water 3 is filled in the whole face of the bottom section, and the bottom section is cooled by the cooling water circulated by vibration of a rammer 1 and temperature rise of the water.
