摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold accumulating material having a high strength, being nearly free from the risk of being pulverized into fine particles, being excellent in thermal shock resistance and durability, and exhibiting a significant refrigerating performance at a low-temperature region, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cold accumulating material comprises a number of magnetic particles with diameters of 0.01-3 mm, wherein the magnetic particles include rare earth elements, and each magnetic particle has &ge;0.7 of the circularity factor R defined by 4&pi;A/L<SP>2</SP>where A is the area of a projection image of each magnetic particle on a plane and L is the peripheral length of the projection image and the standard deviation of the circularity factors R is &le;0.1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
