<p>PURPOSE: An air-conditioning apparatus is provided to drive heating and cooling units using chemical energy instead of commercial electricity, thereby reducing electric energy consumption. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioning apparatus comprises a heat-absorbing and catalyst reagent box and a heat-radiation and catalyst reagent box. In the summer, when heat-absorbing reagent and catalyst reagent react to each other, a valve control system runs to close the heat-radiation and catalyst reagent box. As cold air comes out, a suction motor starts operation and the cold air is exhausted through four rotating fans. In the winter, when heat-absorbing reagent and catalyst reagent react to each other valve control system runs to close the heat-absorbing and catalyst reagent box. As hot air comes out, the suction motor starts operation and the hot air is exhausted through the four rotating fans.</p> |
