A natural fiber based non-woven laminated with a waterproof barrier film to form a composite material, exclusively for use within a coffin/casket as a liner. The nonwoven will be composed of natural fibers, such as viscose, and a binding agent, laminated to a waterproof barrier film using conventional lamination techniques and a lamination adhesive. This lining material intended to reduce the amount of pollution created by conventional linings and additionally, the natural fiber nonwoven content of the composite will offer absorbent properties and have an ability to soak up body fluids. The non-woven may fall within the range of 4 to 30 grams per square metre, the film can be 10-60 microns thick. |
