PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel drug that is highly safe and is effective to an influenza virus, in view of the fact that a therapeutic drug used as an anti-influenza virus drug has a risk of being unsafe to infants, a risk of side effects, and a risk of an emergence of a virus having tolerance. SOLUTION: By conducting research works on catechin and theaflavin with respect to the relation between the structures and the anti-influenza virus activity thereof, a compound represented by formula (I), a method of producing the compound, and an anti-influenza virus drug comprising the compound as an effective component, are obtained.
