PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating unit for the under-mount type transport having the high mountability by avoiding any interference with vehicle side auxiliary machines or the like in a diversified vehicle side specification. SOLUTION: In the refrigerating unit 1 for the under-mount type transport having a sub engine 5 mounted on a chassis frame 40 of a refrigerating vehicle or the like, an outlet of an exhaust manifold or an exhaust pipe 24 of the sub engine 5 is set at the specified position on a back side of the refrigerating unit 1, an exhaust muffler 25 is connected to the outlet via connection pipes 26, 26A, 26B which are attachable/detachable and changeable according to the muffler fitting position, and the exhaust muffler 25 is selectively attached to any one of a back side, a front end face side or a rear end face side of an outer periphery of the refrigerating unit 1 by the change of the connection pipes 26, 26A, 26B.
