<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a lens held by a mirror frame closest to an imaging device is formed on such a manner that a lens portion outside the range of an effective pixel is removed, thereby reducing its space occupied in the mirror frame and providing the lens mirror frame with space for disposing other members and limiting a quantity of harmful light entering the imaging device, thereby suppressing reflection of light within a lens barrel and also decreasing ghost and flare. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the lens 3f held by the first mirror frame 3 disposed close to the imaging device, the portion of lens 3f, which is outside the range of the effective pixel, is removed, thereby reducing the space of the lens 3f occupied in the mirror frame holding the lens 3f.
