<p>The method involves estimating a clogging state (Eenc) of an air intake line of a direct injection internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, during operation of the engine, from a clogging increment (INC) determined based on operating parameters of the engine. The clogging state is compared with a critical threshold (Sc) for deducing information (Benc) relative to risk of pre-ignition of the engine. The parameters are chosen among engine speed (N), engine load (C), vehicle speed, and fuel injection shut-off (I).</p> |
