<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a lightweight design without reducing a durable strength of a front cover in an axle bearing unit. <P>SOLUTION: The axle bearing unit 1 includes a rolling bearing 10 mounted on an outer periphery of an axle 2, and the front cover 3 arranged at one end side of the rolling bearing 10 and fixed by a bolt 6 to the axle 2 in a non-contact state with an end face 2a of the axle 2. R-chamfers 3c1, 3c2 are arranged on both end edges of a bolt inserting hole 3c of the front cover 3. Stress on a peripheral part of the bolt inserting hole 3c can be relieved in fastening the bolt 6 in this structure. Thus, the peripheral part of the bolt inserting hole 3c can be thinned in response to this stress relaxation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
