PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device for reducing peak current in a small circuit scale. SOLUTION: The plasma display device includes a plurality of second sustain discharge electrodes for performing sustain discharge between them and a plurality of first sustain discharge electrodes, and a plurality of address electrodes disposed so that they cross the first sustain discharge electrodes and second sustain discharge electrodes, and a second sustain discharge electrode drive circuit for outputting a sustain pulse to the plurality of second sustain discharge electrodes in order to perform sustain discharge. The second sustain discharge electrode drive circuit includes a first switch (SW1) connected between a node of a first potential and a first node, a second switch (SW2) connected between a node of a second potential and the first node, and a third switch (SW4) connected between the first node and one of the plurality of second sustain discharge electrodes.
