The unit (3) has a gearbox housing (2) comprising a circular contoured housing base (9). A driven gear is rotatably supported on a bearing pin (6) that extends perpendicular to the housing base, in the housing. A wall thickness of the base is decreased from radially inwards to radially outwards, where the base is extended in circumferential direction over different axial planes that are spaced apart from each other. An inner bearing surface for the driven gear is rotated around the bearing pin. The housing is formed as a plastic injection molded part or an aluminum die-cast part.
