<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance image quality when acquiring partial images (slice images of fingerprint) of an object, to construct (stick-process) the whole image (whole image of the fingerprint) of one sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A fingerprint reader has a storage area 11 for storing the slice images of the acquired fingerprint image, an image moving amount calculating part in an inside of a thinning determination part 12 for calculating a moving amount of an image, using a separated line overlapped with the slice image before stored in the storage area 11 and the up-to-date slice image stored in the storage area 11, a buffer 13 for storing the slice image in which a difference of a portion overlapped with the up-to-date slice image stored in the storage area 11 gets minimum, and a determination means in the inside of the thinning determination part 12 for determining whether the calculated moving amount of the image is larger than a prescribed amount or not, and for storing the slice image with the difference getting minimum, as the up-to-date slice image, into the storage area 11, when determined to be larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
