<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase for uniformly and inexpensively illuminating the whole storage chamber. <P>SOLUTION: Recessions 46 opening toward the storage chamber 22 are respectively formed on both right and left inner wall surfaces 12a, 12a of an inner box 12 so as to be vertically extended over a prescribed length. The opening portions 46a of the recessions 46 are covered with milky white plates 50 having light transmissivity. Illumination devices 48 are arranged on the front walls 46b and rear walls 46c of the recessions 46 so as to respectively face each other.
