The method involves arranging a stator carrier (14) around an outer circumference (32) of a stator element (12). A force-fit connection between the stator carrier and the stator element is formed by roller-spinning of the stator carrier. A profiling (64) is attached at an outer circumference of the stator carrier during the roller-spinning of the stator carrier. The stator element is attached to a bolt (22) of a retaining device (10) and clamped in an axial direction. A set of stator parts (18) is attached to the bolt for formation of the stator element. An independent claim is also included for a device for force-fit connection of a stator element and a stator carrier of an electrical machine.
