<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container having excellent strength and for improving appearance when food or the like is housed. <P>SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, the packaging container includes a container body formed by thermally forming a resin sheet having a foaming layer. The container body includes a bottom surface part and a peripheral wall part rising from the outer periphery of the bottom surface part. A long groove is extended along the direction surrounding the outer peripheral part of the bottom surface part in the packaging container. A shallow groove part having a shallower groove depth than the other part is formed in part of the long groove.
