摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether or not switch between a double-valve variable mode and a single valve variable mode is normally performed, in a control device for a variable valve train. SOLUTION: The variable valve train has a switching mechanism switching over the double-valve variable mode changing the valve opening rate of both a first valve and a second valve according to the rotational position of a control shaft and the single valve variable mode changing the valve opening rate of the first valve according to the rotational position of the control shaft and also fixing the valve opening rate of the second valve regardless of the rotational position of the control shaft. The control device for the variable valve train includes a torque detection means detecting torque acting on the control shaft, and a determination means determining with respect to each cylinder based on a result detected by the torque detection means whether or not the switch between the double-valve variable mode and single valve variable mode is normally performed.
