<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can prevent an exposure device from being stained with dust stuck to a dust-protective member even in a constitution of moving the dust-protective member for preventing staining of the exposure device integrally with the exposure device, and which has a good maintainability. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a rotating photo-receptor, the exposure device which sheds a light on the photo-receptor, the dust-protective member arranged on a rotating direction upstream side of the photo-receptor from an exposure position of the exposure device, and a supporting member which supports the exposure device and the dust-protective member. The exposure device and the dust-protective member are made movable to the exposure position proximate to the photo-receptor and to a separated retreat position by movement of the supporting member. A front end part of the dust-protective member is formed in a tapering shape in a direction away from the exposure device along the photo-receptor surface at the exposure position in the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
