发明名称 APPARATUS FOR PLACING TUBE STOCK MOUNTED VALVES ON AEROSOL CONTAINERS
摘要 1,223,093. Making aerosol containers. COSTER TECHNOLOGIE SOECIALI S.p.A. 5 March, 1969 [28 March, 1968], No. 11577/69. Heading B3A. An apparatus for placing valve assemblies on to aerosol containers 2, comprises a container support platform 1, a tapered guide funnel, the smaller end of which is resiliently deformable and a tube stock inserting device including a tubular body 10, an elongate body 13 movable therein, the end of the body 13 facing the platform 1 providing a seat for the valve assembly, which seat communicates with a source of vacuum. The apparatus rotates about a vertical axis whereby it is taken to a series of work stations and at the first a fixed cam engages an arm 9 to lower the device so that it can pick up a valve assembly from a guide (42), Fig. 2 (not shown). At the next station the arm 9 is clear of the cam and the device 4 is raised. At the third station a cam 44 actuates a valve 27 to supply compressed air via a tube 29 to a cavity 20. Compressed air is also supplied to a cavity 18 via a tube 26 but the upper surface of the piston 12 is of greater area than that of the lower surface. The air passes through apertures in a piston 17 to act on the piston 12 thereby driving the body 10 downwardly. The body 10 is so dimen. sioned that the end of the tube 16 lies within the limits of the funnel and as it descends the body actuates a valve 30 whereby compressed air is supplied to a chamber 23 to drive the body 13 downwardly. The lower end 14 of the body pushes the valve assembly through the funnel, the plates 6 of which pivot against the action of springs 7 and then close back over the valve. Movement to the next station brings the cam 44 clear of the valve 27, venting tubes 29, 31 to the atmosphere and causing the pistons 12, 17 to move upwardly by the action of the pressure in the cavity 18, the chamber 23 being vented through the valve 27. The plates 6 retain the valve assembly on the container 1. When the body 10 clears the valve 30, the chamber 23 is vented to the atmosphere therethrough. In an alternative embodiment the tubular body and the elongate body are moved individually by fluid pressure-operated cylinders (52), (56), Fig. 9 (not shown), and there is no equivalent of the hollow cylinder 8.
