A liquid treatment apparatus for purifying liquid to be treated, which is stored in a container, by gas is configured so that the liquid to be treated can be efficiently purified by the gas by being efficiently transferred to a position above the liquid surface.  A water wheel (60) for purification is provided in a water tank (41) and rotates with at least part thereof immersed in a humidification water in the water tank (41) so as to transfer the humidification water to a position above the liquid surface and bring the humidification water into contact with active species in the water tank (41).  The water wheel (60) for purification is provided with a plate-shaped base portion (61) which is provided perpendicularly to the liquid surface of the humidification water and provided to be rotatable around a shaft portion (63) extending in a thickness direction, and plural blades (62) provided on the side surface of the base portion (61) in such a manner that at least parts thereof are parallel to each other.
