<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for evaluating heat conductivity, which enable the calculation of proper heat conductivity even with respect to a part having any shape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat conductivity to a cooling medium of a heat-treating target is calculated from the cooling curve during the heat treatment of the heat-treating target by inverse analysis. Then, for the inverse analysis, non-steady heat conduction analysis (FEM heat conduction analysis) by a finite-element method is used, and the heat conductivity is set to the function of the temperature distribution on the heat boundary being the boundary of the heat-treating target and the cooling medium.
