PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner preventing clogging of a filter caused by dust, and keeping high heat exchanging efficiency for a long period. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with a prefilter 5 composed of a net filter 13 and a frame body 12 holding an outer periphery of the net filter, a dust removing body 18 for removing dust from the net filter 13, an air blower (not shown in the drawing) for blowing off the air exchanging heat by a heat exchanger 7 disposed downstream of the prefilter 5, from an exhaust port (not shown in the drawing), and a driving body (not shown in the drawing) for moving the dust removing body 18. A main filter 6 composed of a posterior filter 29 having a number of capturing holes smaller than small holes of the net filter 13, and a posterior frame body 30 holding an outer periphery of the posterior filter is disposed between the prefilter 5 and the heat exchanger 7. Thus coarse dust captured by the prefilter 5 is surely removed by the dust removing body 18, and fine dust passing through the prefilter 5 is surely captured by the posterior filter 29.
