LIST DATA SELECTION DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a list data selection device capable of promptly selecting desired data from among list data.

SOLUTION: A handsfree unit 11 which is the list data selecting device, comprises: a phonogram string creating section 52 for creating a phonogram string of each list data of a plurality of list data; a phonogram string extraction section 55 for outputting the phonogram string of a set reading range from a head of the phonogram string of each list data; and a speech synthesis section 56 for reading the phonogram string. The list data corresponding to the indicated phonogram string from the phonogram string read is selected.
