ULTRASOUND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING AN ELASTIC IMAGE

PURPOSE: An ultrasound system and a method for forming an elastic image are provided to obtain an elastic image with high quality regardless of a frame rate by forming an elastic image using the ultrasound data. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(110) receives an ultrasound data acquisition cycle. An ultrasound data acquisition unit classifies the N scan lines into M scan line groups using the ultrasound data acquisition cycle. The ultrasound data acquisition unit obtains the ultrasound data about the M scan line groups by transmitting and receiving the ultrasound signal to and from the M scan lien groups. An elastic image forming unit(170) forms the sub elastic image corresponding to each scan line group using the ultrasound data. The elastic image forming unit forms the elastic image of an object by adding the sub elastic images corresponding to the M scan line group.
