Disclosed is a magnetic particle separating device in which a cylindrical portion (2f) with an essentially constant inner diameter along the entire length in the vertical direction, an upper-side inverted conical portion (2b) narrowing in diameter toward the lower side and disposed contiguously with the lower side of the cylindrical portion (2f), a lower-side inverted conical portion (2d) formed adjacent to and on the lower side of the upper-side inverted conical portion (2b), and a conical portion (2c) for linking the two inverted conical portions (2b, 2d), are provided on the inner circumferential surface (2g) of a cyclone-type treatment vessel (2). A plurality of permanent magnets (10) are provided at the outer circumference of the cyclone-type treatment vessel (2). An introduction port (3) for introducing fluid to be treated into the cyclone-type treatment vessel (2) in a swirling flow is formed in the upper-end portion of the cylindrical portion (2f). A triple helical groove (2j) that has a rectangular cross section and a lead angle of 30º is formed in the upper-side inverted conical portion (2b).
