<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of suppressing sizing during precharge drive even when a plurality of panels different in panel characteristics are simultaneously driven. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the display apparatus 1 for driving the two panels 20, 30 having different panel characteristics, a precharge drive is performed during an ineffective display period of one horizontal scanning period such that predetermined precharge voltages DSD are written for all pixels of each display panel. In this case, it is assumed that the precharge voltage DSD is set to the center voltage of a video voltage amplitude in the panel for one that is not displayed.
