The intermittently-operating centrifugal filter includes filter bag (6) and filter cake which are ejected together from the drum (3), to be automatically turned out and emptied, externally. The filling tube (27) with bearing and sealing head (10) is mounted to rotate relative to the drum cover (9). The head (10) forms a pressure-tight seal between the drum interior and the solids space, when the drum cover (9) is closed. In the novel arrangement, the head (10) is fastened to the drum cover such that the filling tube (27) can be moved axially in both directions. On the front plate (43) of the casing (16) there is a filling tube carrier (14), with an axial sliding bearing (12) for the filling tube, or a casing tube (11) surrounding it. The filling tube carrier is fixed to the front plate of the casing, and is externally detachable.
