METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER FOR SEMI-TRANSMISSIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND ITS MANUFACTURING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter for a semi-transmissive liquid crystal display for enlarging a thickness difference between coloring layers of a light reflection region and a light transmissive region to enhance brightness in reflection display.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the color filter includes: an applying process for applying a coating liquid for forming the coloring layer including a photosensitive resin composition for the coloring layer so as to cover an optical path difference adjusting part of a color filter substrate having a transparent base material and the optical path difference adjusting part formed on the transparent base material; a vibrating process for vibrating the coating liquid for forming the coloring layer on the optical path difference adjusting part through a propagating layer for uniformly propagating an ultrasonic wave in order to flow the coating liquid for forming the coloring layer applied on the optical path difference adjusting part into the light transmissive region; a drying process for pressure-decreasing and drying the coating liquid for forming the coloring layer after the vibrating process and forming the coloring layer; and a prebaking process for heating a layer for forming the coloring layer formed in the drying process.
