A method and an apparatus for coding/decoding 3D mesh information are provided to code a prediction coding error according to a flag value showing whether to code the prediction coding error. A method for coding 3D mesh information includes the steps of: coding attribute information of the 3D mesh information; coding the rest information of the 3D mesh information; and generating a 3DMC(3D Mesh Coding) packet including the coded 3D mesh information and flag information. An attribute information coding method for the 3D mesh information includes the steps of: calculating a prediction coding error by carrying out prediction coding with regard to a target attribute information to be coded; setting a flag value according to the prediction coding error; and coding the prediction coding error according to the flag value selectively. |
