PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, with respect to an electrical connector, a locking means is not provided in a lid member to close a contact housing part in a conventional insulating housing. SOLUTION: The electrical connector 1 is constituted of a contact 3 to be connected to a signal line 2, an insulating housing 4 having a housing part 4a to house the contact, a lid member 5 which is formed integrally with the housing through a hinge 4b and closes the aperture of the housing part, and a metallic shell 6 which surrounds the housing 4 in the state of the lid member closed except for a connecting portion 4d and electrically shields. A locking means 7 which is engaged in a part of the lid member when the lid member is closed and locks the lid member to a closed state is installed in the housing 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
