PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel winding method and a parallel winder by which a conductor can be wound on a spool, with the tension of the conductor being constant as much as possible. SOLUTION: A coil is formed by winding a plurality of conductors around a spool 49 by rotating a flier, while drawing out a plurality of conductors arranged in a row from a bobbin 25, which is mounted on the flier 60 of a parallel winder 10 and around which the plurality of conductors W are wound in parallel, and this coil is let fall to a coil receiving jig 80. In this winding operation, a DC motor 70 is mounted on the flier, and a rotation interlocking means between the DC motor and the bobbin is provided, and the winding operation is performed by giving braking force to the rotation of the bobbin by the DC motor.
