<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor having a measure for making a discharge port communicate with a second discharge chamber regardless of an arranging position of the discharge port, in a scroll type compression mechanism having a fixed scroll and a movable scroll. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A housing 6 and an end plate 1a of the fixed scroll 1 are cooperatively communicating with the scroll type compression mechanism. A discharge passage is formed for communicating with the discharge port 19 connected to the high pressure side of an external refrigerant circuit. The discharge passage has a first discharge chamber 14 opposed to a central part of the fixed scroll end plate, an oil separating chamber 15 communicating with the discharge chamber and opposed to an outer peripheral part of the fixed scroll end plate, and a second discharge chamber 18 communicating with the oil separating chamber and opposed to an outer peripheral part of the fixed scroll end. A through-hole 21 is formed for reaching the second discharge chamber by passing through the discharge port from a housing outside surface, and the discharge port is made to communicate with the second discharge chamber by the through-hole, and a closing member is arranged for closing a housing outside surface side end of the through-hole.
