<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by increasing cooling efficiency in a drive circuit of a dynamo-electric machine (motor) for drive in a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In accelerator operation (a high-load state where the vehicle is stopped by the torque of the motor on an ascent) when a rotational speed Nm of a motor generator is not more than a prescribed rotational speed close to 0 and a motor torque is not less than a prescribed torque, the output of a wafer pump is changed to the maximum output, and the amount of cooling is responsively increased in an inverter for driving the motor generator to prevent overheat.
