PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interruption of a part of processing to be performed by an application program for conducting an operation using a hardware device, while shortening time to be required for booting an information processing apparatus concerning the information processing apparatus having the hardware device. SOLUTION: An OS (operation system) loads, from an HDD to a DRAM, a skeleton driver which is not included in a configuration corresponding to the hardware control part of a full device driver in response to the booting of the information processing apparatus (S802), and loads a full driver from the HDD to the DRAM in response to the satisfaction of a predetermined condition after booting the information processing apparatus (S807).
