<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator entrance device capable of restraining foreign matter from entering a sill groove, and capable of shortening a clearance between a landing hall side sill and a car side sill. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This elevator entrance device is provided for moving a door 1 in the frontage direction along the sill groove 7. An engaging body 3 vertically moving in response to the passing of the door 1, is arranged in the sill groove 7. An upper surface of the engaging body 3 of a place where the door 1 does not exist above, is positioned in a height of a floor surface 8 of an entrance, and at least a part of the upper surface of the engaging body 3 of a place where the door 1 exists above, is positioned higher than the floor surface 8 of the entrance.
