<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device for facilitating installation work by dispensing with learning operation, by further accurately detecting an object such as a person and a carriage. <P>SOLUTION: Imaging by a camera 4 and illumination by a lighting system 5 are performed for detection areas 6 and 7 set around an entrance 3. A door control device 8 has an image acquiring part 9, an illumination control part 10, a door position calculating part 11, an image information processing part 12 and a door control command part 13. The image acquiring part 9 acquires image information from the camera 4 in a predetermined period. The illumination control part 10 repeats turning-on and turning-off operation of the lighting system 5 by synchronizing with acquiring operation of image information. The image information processing part 12 executes difference processing between the image information when the lighting system 5 is continuously turned on and turned off, and determines the existence of the object in the detection areas 6 and 7 based on a time change of its result.
