The device has a securing element (10) running at an external lining (2) of a movable part e.g. door (1), of a motor vehicle, and fixed to a support (40) in an inner side (5) of the movable part. The securing element includes an opening (13) in which a head area (31) of a lock cylinder (30) is accommodated. The securing element exhibits a flat running design at the external lining of the movable part, and is sectionally provided with a protective layer (14) made of plastic material. The securing element is designed as a metallic body or a reinforced body made of plastic.
