<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect positions of needles by avoiding the interference of adjacent magnetic sensors in a linear motor unit having a plurality of linear motors. <P>SOLUTION: In this linear motor unit 1b, there are arranged the linear motors A, B having stators 13, the needles 12 which linearly reciprocate along the stators 13, and magnetic sensors 15, which can detect the positions of the needles 12.
