PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car of an elevator light in weight and reduced in cost by simplifying members used for the car, and can easily detecte a loaded load without deteriorating riding comfort. SOLUTION: This car 1 of an elevator includes a car room 7, non-contact type guide devices 14a, 14b, 14c, 14d which are arranged in the cargo room 7, and guide the car room 7 without contacting with a guide rail provided at a hoistway 41 of the elevator along the guide rail, and connection parts 8, 9, 10 connecting a rope 11 for suspending the car room 7 in the hoistway 41 of the elevator with the car room 7.
