The device (1) has two guide rails (2, 4) and a blowing loop (6) that are designed as a single piece. The blowing loop is arranged between an end (12) of the guide rail (2) and an end (14) of the guide rail (4). Connection bars (3, 5) are provided between the guide rails and the blowing loop. Another connection bar (8) is provided between a steel reinforcement (7) and the blowing loop. The steel reinforcement is arranged at a side (16) of the blowing loop. One of the guide rails partly runs between the steel reinforcement and the blowing loop. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an arc quenching device.
