PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module which, even if a battery having a fault includes a fire or a burst, does not affect the surrounding batteries, and to provide a battery pack using the same. SOLUTION: The battery module includes a first case 110, a second case 120, and a plurality of batteries 130 which are housed in the first case 110 and the second case 120 and have an exhaust hole. A first barrier rib member 115 which individually houses the batteries 130 at the position opposed to the exhaust hole of the batteries 130 is provided at least at one of the first case 110 and the second case 120.
